Design a code hosting platform like GitHub for ~400M repositories and ~100M developers. Users push, pull and clone over HTTPS and SSH, browse code in the web UI, open pull requests with reviews and required checks, and fork repositories. Pushed commits must never be lost, refs must never go backwards, and clones of multi-gigabyte repositories must not overwhelm the servers.
