Design a platform that controls ~10M home energy devices (thermostats, batteries, EV chargers) for demand response. When a utility asks for a 500 MW reduction in a region within minutes, the platform commands devices to shed load, measures the actual effect, and adjusts. Devices disconnect often, commands may be delayed, rejected or never acknowledged, and homeowners can override at any time.
